I don't think anyone will read this blog but I decided to start it to document my efforts and maybe even motivate myself. The first project will be a 36" X 20" analog scoreboard (a la green monster) to display live Red Sox scores. It will display the sox score, other team score and inning by using stepper motors to turn discs so that the correct score shows through the designated holes.
In the mockup above you can see where the discs go behind the front panel. I will also use LEDs to indicate balls, strikes and outs. I don't know if I will go through with At Bat yet, that could get a bit tricky.
